The City of Harrisburg said it received one bid to do electric work for the temporary Broad Street Market tent.

Officials said the $84,491 bid was put in by Manheim based KCS Electric LLC.

This does not mean the project was awarded to the company, KCS will now undergo a formal review process to determine if it is qualified.

The city said if the company is qualified, a contract will begin processing next week. However, officials said that could take between 2-4 weeks.

That wasn’t the only project needed to get the tent up and running.

City officials said there were no bids placed for plumbing for the tent. The city said it reposted that project on Monday, and there will be a pre-bid meeting on January 17.

The city has not put a date on the opening up the temporary tent. Officials have been trying to set it up as a spot for Broad Street Market vendors after one of the buildings burned down months ago.
