BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Now that we are seeing some relief from an intense cold snap, the warmer temperatures can bring on their own set of problems.
Local plumber, Brent Blassingame from Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, provided information on how to handle the fallout of freezes.
Blassingame says plumbers will be busy for the next few days dealing with issues. So if you can try to fix a minor problem yourself, it might solve it sooner.
“It really just comes down to if they can locate the leak and get the water shut off and then if they are comfortable fixing it, by all means. Plumbers are fairly backed up. If it turns into too much of a bear you might want to give professionals a call,” said Blassingame.
He says his company is already seeing an increase in calls today and expects more calls to come in over the next couple of days as the weather warms up.
