We were super thrilled to get an email recently from none other than Bryan Haraway to tell us about his new business venture in Boulder City – Desert Appliance Repair!
You may remember him as both a local musician and also the former owner of Sudz Laundromat which he purchased back in 2017. He sold it, then re-acquired it, and as of April this year has turned it over for good to new owners. But along the way he discovered another idea…
Appliance repair. As you can imagine when running a laundromat occasionally those machines had the nerve(!) to break down. Likewise Bryan struggled to get tradesmen in to repair them when most needed, especially if it happened to be on a weekend or later at night. As a necessity, he became pretty adept at fixing the machines himself. Then he went to school to officially get more training as an appliance repair specialist, and thus a new business is born.
If you live here in town then you know the story – we have one or maybe two local repair pros but otherwise you’re dependent on finding one to come in from over the hill. Darned if it isn’t always the case too – your dishwasher, oven or fridge NEVER break at a convenient time.
Bryan serves both Boulder City and Henderson, and will repair washers/dryers, ovens, stoves, refrigerators, ice makers, freezers and disposals. He can work on most major brands including: Amana, Bosch, Dacor, Electrolux, Frigidaire, GE, Haier, Kenmore, Kitchenaid, LG, Matag, Roper, Samsung and others. Bryan says his hours are normal weekdays, but to please call him anytime, as he will come when needed or called as best he can, as the need arises.
He tells us that he wants to invest in Boulder City and be that small town service man that we really need – to show up whenever and however and take care of the customer first.
