SEOUL, July 19 (Korea Bizwire) — South Korean home appliance makers have stepped up efforts to provide specialized repair services in the Chungcheong area, which has suffered significant damage from recent floods and landslides.
Samsung Electronics Service Co., a warranty service arm of Samsung Electronics Co., announced on Tuesday that it would dispatch teams to Cheongju City and Goesan County in North Chungcheong Province and Gongju in South Chungcheong Province to conduct special to offer repair services.
The service teams will visit community service centers and elder care facilities to set up pop-up service centers where they will offer services like cleaning soaked appliances and conducting free inspections.
In addition, the company will dispatch buses equipped with mobile phone check-up facilities to provide on-the-go services including cleaning and drying of submerged mobile phones and free inspections.
LG Electronics Inc. has also set up temporary service centers at municipal service centers in Cheongju and Gongju to contribute to flood recovery efforts.
These temporary service centers conduct free inspections of submerged home appliances, regardless of manufacturer, and provide services such as cleaning, repair, and parts replacement.
LG will also expand home visit services, where service managers will be dispatched to flood victims’ homes to perform various repair services.
