Appliance Grandmasters (“AGM”), a Greenville-based company, recently attended a national convention for the appliance repair industry. AGM’s Lead Technician competed in a Top Nation’s Technician competition and won 3rd place, beating out over 280 MCAP certified technicians.
The conference was hosted by PSA (Professional Services Associates). Appliance Grandmasters earned the MCAP (Masters Certified Appliance Professional) degree, the highest degree in the United States for an appliance technician. Applied Grandmasters Lead Technician Will Toro competed in this year’s Top Nation’s Technicians competition and placed 3rd, beating out more than 280 competitors who were also MCAP certified.
Before joining the family business, Will graduated as an electrical engineer and became the technical director of a large hydroelectric project in Central America. It was here that he developed the leadership skills needed to lead the elite group of Appliance Engineers that Appliance GrandMasters currently possess. Will is now responsible for keeping technician training and certification up to date.
