NORTH PLAINS, Ore. (KPTV) — A cat in rural North Plains has been rescued after being stuck in a tree for more than 24 hours last week.

Night got stuck in a tree at 65 feet on Wednesday morning and was unable to get down on his own. Her owners don’t know what made her go upstairs, but they think she may have been chasing a bird since there is a nest on the tree.

Jackie, Night’s owner, called several animal services and about 22 arborists to try and find someone to take her cat down. It wasn’t until Thursday night that Quentin, an arborist on “503 Cat in a Tree,” was able to save Night. 503 Cat in a Tree is a network of arborists who rescue cats from trees outside of their work hours.

Jackie says it only took Quentin an hour to rescue Night, who is now safely on the ground with her family.
