UNDATED (WJON News) — The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources says the eagle’s nest, which has become very popular because of the eagle camera, fell out of the tree.

The fall happened just before 8 a.m. on Sunday.

They said their staff went to the site to investigate and found the eaglet did not survive the fall. Both adult eagles are doing well.

They are demanding that people who know where the eyrie is located stay away from the area.

The DNR says they are playing to get more information at a later date.

The chick hatched on March 26th. The mother eagle laid two eggs in mid-February, but one of them cracked.

The first season of the EagleCam was in 2013.
