Labor violations, understaffing, long hours, low wages, limited job security, and corporate denials of wrongdoing or liability are just a few of the traits that Dollar Tree’s report says are prevalent in the company.

As reported by Daily Dot, “Working at Dollar Tree is a guaranteed OSHA violation.” Like many industries, Dollar Tree workers come together to see how to protect themselves and keep their jobs. They are also careful to make it clear that they organize but do not unionize. Given the resurgence of Pinkerton agents and their historical and contemporary role in union busting, the distinction is important but cannot invalidate the anti-union logic of corporate capitalism.
Expect a backlash from Dollar Tree’s @bigwormin if they’re still working on getting this video out there. Maybe that’s why politicians want to ban TikTok.
