PHARR, Texas – In response to this weekend’s devastating storm, the Pharr Building and Code Compliance Department is prioritizing permitting and fee waivers for fencing repairs and roofing replacement (shingle replacement).

Permit fees are waived until Sunday, May 14, 2023. This exemption applies only to repairs of fencing and shingle damage caused by the April 28, 2023 storm.
“This storm has caused severe damage and we are working with our community to assist our citizens with the cleanup and repair efforts,” said Mayor Ambrosio Hernandez, MD. “By waiving these fees, we can expedite the process for citizens to make necessary repairs to their homes and property,” Hernandez added.
The City of Pharr recognizes the hardship this storm has inflicted on our residents and would like to relieve some of the additional cost of repairs.
