CEDAR CREEK LAKE–Jordan Roofing has given a deserving person a new roof every year for the past five years and the recipient of 2022 was Terri Dunn.
Dunn, a mother of four young children, moved into her childhood home while rebuilding her life after a divorce. The house stood empty for 15 years and was left to decay. Dunn, who worked as an assistant manager for Vernon’s Lakeside, was known to her clients as a friendly, outgoing person who was always willing to help others. “I loved giving my customers the best experience,” she said.
When Jordan Roofing took to social media to search for nominations for their annual Santa Roof, owner David Jordan received many responses nominating Dunn. “My colleagues have been so generous in helping me, and then it was just so wonderful,” Dunn said of the roof that was made available to her.
Jordan and his crew completed the 2,000 square foot roof on January 26th. Dunn had already completed several large projects to prepare the home for her family, including clearing land, leveling the structure, plumbing and electrical work. After living with her mother, she moved into the home in August 2022 with her children, ages four, six, nine and 14. Tarpaulins kept out the rain until the roof was completed in January.
Dunn, who now works at the Mabank Truck Yard, is grateful to Jordan and everyone who showed her what a great community looks like.
