National Women in Roofing (NWiR) Conference: A record attendance of over 500 women in the roofing industry gathered on Sunday 5th March at the 6th Annual NWiR Conference for a day of collaboration and discussion aiming to empower women in the roofing industry. IRE and NWiR strive to create opportunities for multidisciplinary professionals to see their impact through sharing business strategies, experiences and successes. “It was better than I could have ever imagined,” he said Michelle Boykin, COO of Rackley Roofing And President of the NWiR. This year’s conference focused on the theme of “Follow Your Path” and encouraged attendees to connect, discover and nurture new relationships on their own path to success.

Para Latinos Lounge: The SRS Para Latinos Lounge is an education and networking center for Latino contractors. Over 1,000 visitors entered the SRS Para Latinos Lounge during the three-day exhibition.

Central working platform: IRE partnered with Labor Central Platform, an organization dedicated to recruiting roofing contractors, and invited their Dallas-area Latino members to experience IRE firsthand to encourage Latino members of the roofing industry to join the IRE -community to join.

Outdoor pavilion: A novelty at the IRE, the Exteriors Pavilion featured top manufacturers and suppliers including LP SmartSide, West Lake Royal, James Hardy And Marvin Infinity. An Exteriors Building Clinic demonstrated practical best practices for installing various types of weather barriers and flashing in front of exterior cladding. The Exteriors Pavilion also hosted the Exteriors Education Stage, each session packed as experts discussed business development for full service replacement contracts, vinyl siding application, specialist trade tools and deployment of new technologies.

14th annual community service day: IRE has partnered with Rebuilding Together North Texas for the 14th Annual Community Service Day. Over 70 roofers gathered at three homes in the local Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area to donate their time and services to perform critical home repairs for disabled, elderly or experienced homeowners. was the main sponsor Sika Sarnafil and other important sponsors included GAF, OMG roofing products And Carlisle.

Conversations about the labor shortage: Finding and keeping qualified and reliable workers is the biggest challenge for the roofing industry.
