Owner Josh Schulte says there are several advantages to choosing solar shingles over solar panels.
“With shingles, there are no exposed fasteners. With panels there is a lot of penetration in the roof. Panels sit at the top of the roof to allow things to crawl underneath. With the solar shingles, you have hidden fasteners, so your roof has nowhere to leak,” he said.
