“There’s a lot of good news happening,” said Peter Wall. “All shingle colors, design shingles and finished shingles are now available again.”
In addition to material availability, Star is offering a spring lock-in rate year-round until the end of April for roof renovation projects. Wall expected higher rates due to material shortages and inflation; but that hasn’t happened yet. Prices are expected to increase over the summer, so now is a good time to complete a roof renovation.
Spring is a great time to replace a roof, and Star Roofing is ready to get to work. They are licensed and affiliated with the four largest clapboard manufacturers in the US; GAF, Owens Corning, CertainTeed, and Atlas. Now the star customers can get the shingles they want.
“There were a lot of people who wouldn’t settle for regular shingles,” Wall said. “Now we have them and we can pass them on to the customers.”
Most clapboard manufacturers have had to make upgrades to counter environmental changes. Black mold and algae are more prevalent than ever. Metal alloys will be increasingly used in 2023.
This process prevents mold and algae from growing, which keeps the color vibrant. Star has several new clapboards that can fix this problem. Your appraisers are fully trained to assess a roof and make the necessary recommendations.
“A roofing is probably one of the most expensive things you can do to your house right now. Any cost reduction is beneficial to the consumer,” Wall said.
