
HUBER HEIGHTS — Firefighters responded to a blaze at an apartment building in Huber Heights on Saturday.
Firefighters responded at approximately 2:00 p.m. at Block 8200 of Mt. Carmel Street

Fire crews from the Dayton, Vandalia, Butler Township and Bethel Township fire departments provided assistance to fight the blaze and evacuate other residents of the building.
Initial calls to the dispatcher reported that someone was working on the plumbing and a fire broke out due to sweating pipes.

When the fire brigade arrived at the scene, thick smoke was coming from one of the apartments. The fire spread to the attic and through the wall.
The fire was ruled accidental.
