NBC 5 Responds Helps With Appliance Warranty Woes – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Two North Texas viewers contacted NBC 5 Responses about their problems with equipment purchased with Lowe’s warranties.

Shirly Mix at Millsap had a three year old extended warranty fridge that just stopped working. After a total of five repair calls and numerous calls to customer service, the fridge still didn’t work.

Mix decided to reach out to NBC 5 Responses for help, and she was reimbursed for the refrigerator and warranty totaling $2,272.13.

Ivan Hall of Fort Worth bought a washing machine more than a year ago, which broke and caused water damage to his home. An error occurred while deleting his warranty from the store’s system and no repairs were ever made to the washing machine.

Hall contacted NBC 5 Responses and soon after received a full refund for the washing machine totaling $995.45 and is being reimbursed for the water damage.

In a statement, Lowes said: “The satisfaction of our customers is our priority. Lowe’s customer relations worked directly with both Ivan Hall and Shirley Mix to resolve their concerns and we are pleased that the issues have been resolved to their satisfaction.”

For warranty claims, always keep your receipts, a copy of the warranty, and document all service calls.
