COLUMBIA CITY — Kenneth “Ken” Speakman, a longtime resident of Northeast Indiana, founded Ken’s Appliance and Home Repair LLC to support home appliance repair and maintenance and provide home repair services in Northeast Indiana.

Although new to management, Speakman is not new to the maintenance and repair market and has over 25 years of experience in the service industry. For the past six years he has worked on most makes and models of home appliances. He also has experience in serving the church as a youth pastor and substitute teacher.

As the owner of this new company, Speakman’s mission is to serve people and help solve problems. His business provides service and repair for most major household kitchen and laundry appliances, dryer vent cleaning, minor electrical work, minor plumbing, light construction and general landscaping.

“While industry experience and in-depth knowledge of the products serviced are absolutely critical to the success of my business, I believe it is equally important to be recognized as a trustworthy, fair and honest business,” Speakman said of his company. “I want my clients to know that I bring competence and integrity to the services I offer.”

Born in Fort Wayne, Speakman attended school in Churubusco and lived in Whitley, Adams and Allen counties. He is a graduate of Taylor University. He and his wife Wendy have two sons.

Future expansion plans for the company include adding employees to the family business. Also, the company has just launched a website, www.kens-repair.com, and will be engaging on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.

Ken’s Appliance and Home Repair LLC is a client of the Northeast Indiana Small Business Development Center and has received business formation advice and marketing assistance.
