A Kent-based home appliance repair, sales and service company has been bought by industry giant Pacifica Group.

From its Sittingbourne base, Autowash have a team of 11 engineers carrying out equipment repairs in the Kent area, working with a number of well known manufacturers.

It supports insurance companies with covered repairs and has contracts with municipalities, landlords, housing associations and schools, as well as supporting local charities.

Autowash has been in business since 1985 and employs a total of 20 people.

The acquisition is part of Pacifica’s local strategy; Creation of a network of regional workshops that offer consumers and companies access to directly employed engineers.

It works with brands such as AEG, Zanussi, Electrolux, Sony, Hisense, Hoover Candy, Haier, Servis, Electra and LG, among others.

Autowash is the latest company to join the Pacifica Group, having acquired Service 87 in Guildford, Highland Appliance Services in Inverness and JK Domestics in Liverpool in 2022.

Autowash’s Nigel Fosbraey said: “This is an important new chapter for our business which will build on the excellent reputation we have built with our loyal local and national customers.

“As part of Pacifica, we will continue to provide the highest level of service and support while leveraging the national infrastructure and resources of our new parent company.”

Scott Pallister, Pacifica’s Chief Operating Officer, added, “Autowash is an ideal fit for Pacifica, both in terms of its geographic coverage and the expertise and experience of its long-standing team.

“It shares our focus on quality customer service and the benefits of repairing versus replacing equipment, which is much better for the environment.”
